We were so excited to join Operation Backpack, a volunteer opportunity, where we helped distribute backpacks and school supplies to kids in care with Family Support Services of North Florida (FSSNF). We helped with general event tasks, the distribution of backpacks, monitoring kids and teens during the time their caregivers are in training, helping run activities, and monitoring the kids to ensure safety.
FSSNF is the lead agency for foster care, adoption and family preservation in Duval and Nassau counties. Through community-based care, FSSNF provides services and programs to help create strong families in our community, as well as prevent child abuse & neglect. They find loving, safe homes for our youth in foster care and strive for permanency through adoption to create forever families.
